Wanneer en waarom hij van Amsterdam naar Zeeland verhuisde, is niet bekend. In 1941 komt zijn naam voor op de lijst van Joodse inwoners van Terneuzen. Als koopman in manufacturen is hij dan woonachtig op de Eerste de Feijterstraat 1. Een jaar later wordt als woonadres Dijkstraat 75 opgegeven. Voor de berichten dat Hoepelman getrouwd was en dat zijn echtgenote in de oorlog van hem scheidde, kon geen bevestiging worden gevonden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In maart 1942 werd Mozes Hoepelman samen met de andere Joodse inwoners gedwongen Terneuzen te verlaten.
