Shel Simkin: Workbook Release, Installation and Workshop

Shel Simkin, the first artist in residence at the Etty Hillesum Huis, worked at the EHH from November 2023 until January 2024. In conjunction with the publication of Shel’s diary workbook, you’re invited to come experience the temporary installation on the first floor of the Etty Hillesum Huis and to pick up a copy of the publication. Participants will join a group ink blowing painting, a process shifting our insides to an outer breath to print indelible, simple, marks on paper together. Shel will guide the group into their artistic practice also through some of the exercises included in the workbook.
